Well May looks kind of dead. To be honest I'm somewhat glad, less stress on my wallet, but it's a shame that it seems like every release has been scheduled for the fall this year with little to nothing of note coming out prior aside from Wonder Woman, Alien: Covenant and a few others. That being said, there are a few movies this month to look forward to.
May 5th
Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2
I'm gonna be honest, I don't know how this one's gonna do. If John Wick 2 was any indication, it's that lightning doesn't strike twice. Still I'm psyched to see the group again back with more shenanigans and 80s references. I'm sure it'll be fun.

Alien: Covenant - May 2017 Highlight
Ever since Prometheus I've been very intrigued to see what Ridley Scott brings to the table in the future for this franchise. It's interesting that he created it but, for the most part, has been absent since the very first movie, and now his reboot is what I'm most excited for from this years movies. It looks dark, it looks violent, it looks like it should have a good blend of what I liked from Prometheus and what I wanted (but didn't get) from Prometheus, so that's more than enough for me.
